People suffering from Fibromyalgia experience widespread pain & tenderness, and often fatigue and poor sleep, as well as memory loss and mood issues.
In a study of the 86 participants suffering Fibromyalgia, 43 were randomly allocated into the tapping group. The control group of 43 received no treatment.
The average pain score prior to the treatment was rated 7/10.
The Tapping group were required to do a daily self-tapping session for 8 weeks.
THE RESULTS
The control group experienced no changes.
However the Tapping group experienced:
- Significant reduction in pain levels 5/10
- Significant reduction in catastrophizing thoughts
- Significant reduction in anxiety
- Significant reduction in depression symptoms
